BRIAR WREN
LCPC, Art Therapist
CLINICAL GROWTH COACH
(she/her)
Briar received her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Studio Art and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy. Passionate about the intersection of art and mental health, Briar has worked with at-risk youth from around the world, promoting health with her dynamic treatment approach. She has experience working within a robust clinical treatment team in the residential setting, supporting complex family systems at every stage of the process.
Encouraging growth from many angles, Briar develops deep rapport with her clients early on. By approaching these conversations from the "side door,” Briar finds unique ways to bring therapeutic dialogue into spaces it might not always be found and young clients describe her as fun, open and easy to connect with. Always social justice and relationship minded, Briar has worked everywhere from peace campaigns with students from Israel and Palestine to supporting the LGBTQ2IA+ community, with particular interest in supporting young people to explore their emerging identities.
Knowing she can’t pour from an empty cup, Briar practices what she preaches, prioritizing her creative outlets, practicing hot yoga and eating as much watermelon as possible.
